Network & Security Team Leader (Checkpoint) – £55,000 – £65,000 – Marlow / Manchester – Consultancy

Overview:
A market leading consultancy are looking for a well-established Network & Security Team Leader (ideally with some Checkpoint experience) to join one of their teams in Marlow or Manchester on a predominantly remote basis.

Role & Responsibilities:
As Network & Security Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading all activities of the Check Point Team, to ensure excellent customer service is provided, and SLAs/KPIs are met. You will also be responsible for providing 2nd/3rd line technical support to the telephone support and Fully Managed Check Point customers.

• Manage day to day support activities of Check Point Engineers.
• Act as first point of escalation – including but not limited to, hierarchical, technical and customer escalations.
• Deliver efficiencies through best practice whilst ensuring service quality and customer satisfaction remains as a high standard.
• Performance management of direct reports, providing, coaching and guidance to instil a high performing and customer focused culture across the team.
• Work alongside the line manager to ensure team members are skilled, trained and developed to enable them to deliver high quality service. Produce and ensure direct reports are working towards their Personal Development Plans.
• Work with your line manager to agree and report on SLAs, OLAs, KPIs and metrics.
• Provide remote 2nd/3rdline technical telephone and fully managed support for customers using our Check Point services; troubleshooting and resolving incidents to their conclusion.

Requirements:
• Good technical understanding of Check Point or other security solutions.
• Confident communicator at all levels.
• Ability to quickly identify problems and engage processes to mitigate customer impact.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Experience with improving process and procedures.

Desirable:
• Existing experience working within a Managed Services environment.
