Role: Junior Information Security Analyst

Contract: Full time, permanent

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 dependant on experience plus bonus

Are you looking to get into cybersecurity? Do you have experience in IT infrastructure? Or IT security?

We are working with an established, multinational company that are recruiting for a Junior Information Security Analyst. This role will be working within a relatively new department with ample opportunity for growth. You will be working closely with the information security analyst focusing on operational security tasks, as well as, working to improve the security operating processes within the business.

What are the main duties of the Junior Information Security Analyst?

* Assess and report on security vulnerabilities and recommend security improvements

* Monitor security improvements, tracking success rates, and report findings t stakeholders

* Responsible for assisting helpdesk with any related tickets and issues

* Working across the EMEA cybersecurity departments to respond to issues and problems, investigate and resolve such issues in a timely manner

* Point of contact for user questions security related

* Responsible for ensuring all alerts have been resolved correctly before closing the issue

* Create security processes that help support the business’ goals and implementation of these security best practices

What skills will I need to have?

* 2+ years experience in IT infrastructure, security, or controls audit

* Degree educated in Computer Science, Information Security or similar

* Highly organised and structured individual

* Desire to develop a career in IT and cybersecurity

* Basic understanding of security threats and resolution methods

* Practical knowledge in security tools, e.g. vulnerability scanning, SIEM platforms, endpoint security solution, detection systems

* A basic understanding in the General European Data Protection Regulation and other Data Protection regulations

* Ability to explain complex technical requirements and in clear language

* Ability to travel within Europe

* Fluent in English and another European language is desirable

* Full rights to work in the UK without sponsorship
