This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced IT Support Engineer / 1st and 2nd Line Support Engineer, to join a leading organisation to provide comprehensive IT Support.
Responsibilities for the IT Support Engineer:
Working alongside the Senior IT Support Lead, you will be responsible for supporting all internal IT infrastructure as well as other related IT equipment. It is essential that the IT infrastructure is carefully managed at all times including security, monitoring, maintenance, updates, continuous improvement and repair work.
Day to day responsibilities for the IT Support Engineer:
* Hands-on, technical support, deployment and maintenance of a wide range of IT Systems, devices and Networking.
* Identification and resolution or escalation of faults within agreed SLAs.
* Monitoring, maintaining and updating of support tickets.
* Building and configuring new laptops.
* Managing test and rollout of, software upgrades, security patching and software applications to laptops & servers.
* Resource planning and scheduling to ensure all aspects of classroom setup, course and lab readiness are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
* Implementation and improvement of key process to help drive structure, efficiency and consistency to all aspects of IT support.
Technical requirements for the IT Support Engineer include:
Demonstrated technical knowledge in:
* Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016
* Active Directory Windows 2012
* Microsoft Clients (phone number removed)
* Office 2016 and Office 365
* Networking (CCENT/CCNA/Network+)
Desirable experience/knowledge in, but not essential:
* Desktop Certifications MCP/MCSA/MCSE
* VMware ESX
* NetApp storage

In order to be successful in your application for the IT Support Engineer / 1st and 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will need to be passionate and able to use your initiative, especially when working on your own.
