CIPHR are a rapidly expanding, innovative, UK based tech company who provide online (SaaS) HR, Payroll and Learning Management systems and solutions to help organisations attract, engage, manage and retain their workforce more effectively.
About the role:
An opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join CIPHR, a fast-growing SaaS business, as an Assistant Financial Controller.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, responsibilities include:
To produce accurate monthly management accounts to the agreed timetable including a consolidation of a Group with 9 legal entities under FRS102
To produce accurate statutory financial statements and supporting schedules for all legal entities in the Group and work with the auditors to obtain a clean audit
Oversee the GL and manage balance sheet reconciliations (cash, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals and deferred income) ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, effective controls are in place and processes and policies documented. Manage intercompany recharges and reconciliations
Manage and develop the Assistant Financial Accountant
Risk management – maintenance of the corporate risk register and insurances
Assist with the implementation of a new general ledger in 2021 (moving from Sage 50 to Microsoft)
Assist with the consolidation accounting and financial integration of new acquisitions
Tax compliance – Corporation tax, VAT, PAYE/ NI
Company secretarial matters as they arise
Ad hoc requirements e.g. group restructures, preparation for exit
Ad hoc assistance to the CFO, FP&A Manager and other senior managementAbout You:
Recently qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent with experience of audit and group consolidations
Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Sage 50 experience is desirable
Numerate coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise and works well under pressure
