Cobham Aerospace Connectivity are looking for an Airworthiness Support Engineer to join their team based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
This is a key role which is primarily responsible for carrying out a wide range of tasks and evolving technical administrative processes and procedures in support of the Flight Operations, Certification and Airworthiness Sections whilst providing an efficient and effective customer service to the Aircraft Registry’s customers. This role will report into the Head of Airworthiness.
As an Airworthiness Support Engineer your key responsibilities will include:

Coordination and liaison with operators resulting from occurrence reports and/or Standard Instrument Departure deviations;
*
Coordination and liaison with operators following observations and/or findings raised by national and international regulatory bodies;
*
Creation and management of an Airworthiness performance based oversight analysis database;
*
To assist in the creation and maintenance of Airworthiness/Certification forms and publications;
*
The provision of statistical information to management when required;
*
Production and distribution of notices and publications in support of promoting flight safety and compliance;
*
Management of the Airworthiness/Certification Intranet Page;
*
Sourcing supporting technical Airworthiness information primarily from EASA/FAA/MAA/TC or national regulatory bodies;
*
Assisting Airworthiness surveyors in standard Permissions, Authorisations, Variations and Exemptions preparation and issue;
*
Carry out Aircraft on Ground (AOG) assistance when required as a priority action.

To provide general administrative tasks to support the Certification and Airworthiness Sections.
As an Airworthiness Support Engineer your key skills and experience should ideally include:
*
Minimum BEng degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
*
Minimum 2 years in technical support of Office of Airworthiness.
*
Familiarity with airworthiness processes and practices and ability to drive their continuous improvement
*
Sound knowledge of EASA Part 21J obligations and ETSO applications in particular
*
Equipment qualification standards and processes
*
Reporting and working to aerospace standards including MAA/CAA/FAA
*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*
Able to determine their own priorities
*
Ability to work with minimum of supervision
*
Adaptable to changes in priorities and willingness to resolve queries from all
In addition the post holder will be required to:

Deal with general enquiries from potential and existing customers and other interested parties. This will be in the form of letters, e-mails, faxes, telephone queries and face-to-face enquiries.

Perform such duties and observe and conform to such reasonable instructions as the Department, or person duly authorised by the Department, may from time to time give.
