Our client is looking for a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to work on their Marlow site on a hybrid arrangement, on an initial 6-month contract.
The Senior Electronics Systems Engineer will be part of the GNSS Anti-Jam Integrated Product Team (IPT) and working closely with Project and Program Managers. The Senior Electronics Systems Engineer will apply extensive design expertise to a wide range of complex problems and provide technical guidance to the other team members. You will oversee and drive engineering work packages ensuring that the performance expectations in key electronic development projects and programs are met or exceeded.
This is a hands-on role which covers the whole range of product development, design, and support activities from the initial bid phase through to customer delivery. You will play a key part in each of these stages and ensure that all work is carried out with strict adherence to management procedures and engineering development processes.
As a Senior Systems Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:
* Planning and delivery of activities for the programme for the system.
* Generation of high-quality documentation in accordance with engineering processes and customer requirements for environmental qualification.
* Generation of detailed Functional and Environmental Test Procedures.
* Generation of Acceptance Test Procedures.
* Liaising with internal stakeholders and test houses in the planning and execution of Functional and Environmental test programmes.
* Planning and management of test support hardware needs in support of the qualification programme.
* Generation of reasoned arguments to sell off non-test requirements through qualification by analysis documentation (and providing guidance to projects).
* Assessment of opportunities to read across common equipment qualification to other projects.
* Support to Hardware/Software Integration programme.
Experience for the Senior Electronics Systems Engineer:
* Educational qualifications: technical/engineering/electronics degree or equivalent experience.
* RF background.
* Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle; strong verification experience is a must.
* Experience of requirements management tools (DOORS, CRADLE, etc.).
* DEF STAN 0035 and IPV4 experience is beneficial, but not a requisite.
Essential:
* Ability to get BPSS security clearance and clear ITAR.
* Can commit to 2-3 days per week on the Marlow site.
This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
