Teaching Assistant & SEN roles on the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire border – September Start
Teaching Assistant looking for work in September?
Hays Education are looking to recruit on behalf of schools and specialist organisations along the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire border and are looking to engage with KS1, 2 and 3 Teaching Assistants as well as SEN specialists to support in a number of roles. Roles will be available on a full time and long term basis,as well as bank cover, with positions starting in September.
These roles will be in schools with excellent facilities and links with the local community. Whether you're a graduate who has recently completed a degree within education or childcare or you can provide evidence of your previous experience working within a UK school, or other education centre – if you are looking to work as a teaching assistant within Key Stages 1 to 3 , and support pupils inside and outside the classroom or 1 to 1 with those with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.
You will:
Be dedicated to ensuring pupils achieve their best outcomes.
Support class teachers with the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons
Be able to deal with all everyday classroom situations, from overseeing small groups to 1 to 1 support for children with social or emotional difficulties
Be able to support children who may present challenging behavioural issues or SEND assessments such as ADHD and LD.
In order to be considered for these roles as a Teaching Assistant you will need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last two years, either within a mainstream or SEN setting. Do not hesitate to get in touch particularly if you have specialised in SEN in either mainstream or special school provisions.You will need to be an approachable and patient Teaching Assistant who has great communication skills when speaking to both pupils and other staff members. You will need to be registered, holding an enhanced DBS or prepared to obtain or renew one.
We are looking to prepare for these and future roles with interviews scheduled to begin taking place in late August/Early September.
