Interim Demand Planning & Forecasting Lead (12 month contract)

£35 – 45k band

 High Wycombe  / Marlow area,  Buckinghamshire, with remote working/ home based

Client : Category market leading in FMCG Manufacturing

We are looking for a  materials  supply chain skills et for a unique fire-fighting role, with a passion for materials management and supply / deamd planning

You will ensre there are no shortages within the MRP plan. Ensuring adequate stock holding aganst the forecast

Forecasting and Scgeduling against the stock holding plan and troubleshooting raw materials shortages by sourcing supply either internally or externally

You will work with a great team and have exposure to broad cross-functional teams to support the delivery of 100% material availability at least cost across any and all major events/material change plans

Responsible for the management and supply of materials and make sure we have enough stock in place at any given time

The procurement team will order materials , you are responsible for making sure that the sites and factories have enough of the ingredients  and raw materials to make the production demands – it is a pivotal role

Your new challenge:

Maintaining MRP process to establish bakery stock keeping and highlight any significant demand variances and generate on-going supplier forecasts
Performance measurement through a weekly / monthly scorecard & a weekly bakery conference call to review:
Support Raw Materials Planner as required
Material obsolescence & write off risks
Material usage verse forecast variance
Manage supplier performance through the VPD (Vender Performance Database) process
Ensure SOP’s for all material management processes remain fit for purpose and manage compliance
Maintain effective material contingency plans which can be implemented at short notice
Manage two way communications between the factories  and Head Office in all aspects of materials management
Is this you?

Supply chain / materials management experience in FMCG
Deman Planning, MRP Scheduling and Forecasting Expereince 
Analysis of data to manage performance
Knowledge of ERP systems
Knowledge of MRP and inventory management systems
Microsoft Excel & Google literate
Ability to build strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders
Excellent communication skills providing clear insight through written and verbal presentation
Excellent analytical skills, with an eye for detail and capability to inform decisions
A ‘self-starter’ with good organisational skills and a drive to get the job done
Influencing skills to successfully manage material changes & improve performance
