A highly innovative manufacturing business that is globally renowned as being a leader within the Aerospace industry, is now seeking an RF Systems Engineer to join their ever-growing team on an 18 month contractual basis. Reporting directly to Engineering Management (Electronics/Electrical) and liaising with cross functional teams, the successful professional will work towards the architecture, design, certification, and delivery of the aircraft technology in hand.

RF Systems Engineer overview –
Working on ground breaking antenna architecture technology, you will be responsible for the development of subsystems and components, ensuring that they meet with customer requirements and are aligned with safety standards.

Assist with aircraft antenna specification, installation, and co-location.
Evaluate electromagnetic compatibilities and hazards (EMC).
Analyse and review of antennas as part of system Integration between transceivers, antennas, and aircraft structure (permissively, conductivity, cable specifications, losses, and seals, mountings).
Work on interoperability analysis, mitigating interferences between the aircraft systems.
Install the antennas reviewing functional and safety aspects ensuring that you follow certification requirements, standards, and guidance.
Take control of development tasks and manage the end to end product life cycle.
Develop, challenge, and strive to improve antenna and item technical concepts.To be successful within the role you will have the following –
Experience working within similar Antennas / RF System roles.
Ability to write, allocate and organise the flow down of requirements.
Thorough understanding of the antenna qualification process (DO-160 standards).
Ideally Automotive and/or Aerospace sector experience.
