An ACA/ACCA Qualified Financial Controller, with a track record of working for fast paced SME businesses with T/O ranging from £5 million to £50 million, is required by this dynamic Digital Marketing Comms company that provides solutions to the Pharma and Healthcare sector.
The organisation is looking for a UK Financial Controller who can demonstrate how they developed their finance departments processes, procedures, systems and finance team to cope with the evolving demands of their evolving business.
This is an exciting UK Financial Controller role, requiring an individual who can not only manage a team, but essentially lead a team.
Reporting directly to Group Finance Director, as UK Financial Controller you will take responsibility for Financial Reporting, Statutory Accounts, Board Reporting, Treasury, Balance Sheet Control, Cash Forecasting as well as ad-hoc project work as required by the CFO
An evolving role, your responsibilities will include:
Production of timely and accurate financial information
Implement a control framework to ensure statutory compliance
Build a team and a set of business processes, that can be scaled and remain effective and efficient as the business grows
Day to day Team management and running of the finance function;
Lead the monthly close process to ensure the timely production of monthly financial statements, Board packs and PE investor reports;
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
Manage and comply with all statutory returns;
Develop and implement business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
Production of meaningful variance analysis for management and investors;
Production of operational MI & KPI’s;
Overseas accounting oversight – Singapore;
Payment run review and approval

* ACCA or ACA Qualified
* Experience working for growing, PE Backed, SME’s as a Financial Controller
* Recent experience of working for SME's with a turnover ranging between £5 million – £50 million
* Strong technical financial / accounting skills and thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (FRS 102);
* Advanced Excel knowledge
* Experience of building a team and a set of business processes, that can be scaled and remain effective and efficient as the business grows
* A proactive / analytical approach to all aspects of work with the ability to make well thought out decisions & work independently;
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and co-workers;
* Strong & inspirational leadership skills
* Experience of managing and getting the best out of finance teams
* Able to demonstrate experience of managing business improvement & process change projects within a Finance department
* Treasury and Cash Flow Management experience
* Track record of managing year end
* Prior knowledge of Microsoft Navision / Dynamics / Business Central desirable but not essential;
* Deadline driven & well organised.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a basic salary between £90,000-£110,000 Bonus, 25 Day Annual Leave, Private Medical, Private Dental & a Contributory Pension
