We have an opportunity for a Sub-Contract Manager to join our Commercial team based in Loudwater or Weymouth. This role is for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

In this role you will be responsible for all sub-contract activities, through all aspects of the bid and project lifecycle, for a portfolio of accounts. You will be working in a fast paced environment , solving complex problems in UK and Internationally.

To be responsible for sub-contract leadership, advice, proposals, negotiating, sub-contract drafting and management of sub-contracts through to completion with key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for leading and providing sub-contract input for tenders, assessing offers, leading negotiations, preparation and negotiation of sub-contract agreements. The role will involve delivering sub-contract input to all areas of the business thus ensuring that all sub-contract activities are effectively managed through life to completion.

* Preparing ITT/RFQ documentation and evaluating responses.

* Negotiating with both domestic and international sub-contract base and capturing in appropriate agreements.

* Become the “go to” point for all sub-contract queries raised.

* Managing sub-contract programmes through to completion, mitigating risks and taking remedial action to ensure programmes stay on track.

* Being part of a cross functional team to manage all sub-contract aspects to deliver programmes in a cost effective manner.

* Liaison with internal customers, stakeholders at both senior and working levels.

Skills and Qualifications Required

* To have significant sub-contract management experience.

* Detailed knowledge of UK MoD and international contracting and programmes.

* A team player with experience working in cross-functional teams.

* ERP systems and Microsoft office packages

Security clearance
