The Production Engineering function in Ultra ensures that manufacturing processes are optimised for safety and efficiency. It involves managing production teams, maintaining schedules, dealing with health, safety and environmental hazards and troubleshooting production line issues.

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will possess knowledge for specific fields and performs structured work assignments.

Use established procedures to solve problems by making judgments and get work done with quality under moderate supervision.

Purpose of Role as a Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer works with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production and Supply Chain to design, monitor and optimize the manufacturing processes for existing and new product lines.

Skills, Qualification and Experience

* Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline with significant manufacturing experience

* Continuous improvement techniques such as LEAN, Six-Sigma and TQM

* Work measurement and standardization

* Experience within Aerospace and Defence is a distinct advantage

* Competency in ERP systems including development of routings and Bill of Material structures

* Familiarity with 3D CAD drawing packages and competency in 2D CAD design.

* Strong data analysis abilities.

* Understanding of Engineering Change Control processes

* Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and other documentation
