Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
As the business continues to expand, the Information Security Department is looking to expand the team by bringing on board somebody who can help maintain and develop the robust security posture of the company. While direct experience in the field is not essential, candidates who demonstrate an interest in the InfoSec / Cyber Security spaces and a proactive, resourceful attitude to problem solving will be an excellent fit for this role. Within this role candidates will be assisting not only the InfoSec department, but also the wider business in delivering projects that commercially benefit the company whilst embodying the strong Information Security practices which the company continues to develop.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Assisting with monitoring and responding to security events and alerts received from multiple systems
· Reviewing existing security controls, helping develop new controls and conduct internal information security audits
· Collate, maintain and follow up on information security risks
· Report potential and actual security incidents, document the response process and developing controls off the back of them
· Maintain a strong awareness of the current threat landscape, identify new threats as the business expands
· Working with the relevant leads to ensure that the right assurances and controls are in place in all technology areas
· Maintain the company’s IT security awareness program and be proactive in ensuring all staff are educated in good practice
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects are being carried out inside a secure framework
Skills & Experience
Essential
Experience analysing data to identify strengths, weaknesses and deficiencies in controls
Experience with implementing project plans and identifying relevant risks
A proactive attitude to learning and developing own skills and knowledge
High attention to detail and ability to create and maintain knowledge documents, procedures and technical documents.
Planning, organisation and management of high-volume workloads
Preferred:
Experience in a Cyber Security or Information Technology role
Additional Notes
Working out of office hours is essential at times
Responsibilities are shared with the London office and at times this individual will need to travel
