My client, based just outside Thame, is looking for a Materials Planner to join their small but established company. They provide packaging for the drinks industry and are well established and respected within their field.

As Materials Planner you will be responsible for ensuring that materials are always available to fulfil their orders and ensure the logistics chain is maintained. Main duties will include raising purchase orders, scheduling deliveries, stock control and stock valuations, reporting and analysis, negotiation and pricing.

The skills you will need to be a successful Materials Planner will include the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and clients in addition to internal departments, be forward thinking , methodical in your approach, organised with strong attention to detail, have exceptional communication skills and numerical ability. You must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position and if you have any drinks industry experience, this will be a distinct advantage.

Working hours are 8-5 Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch and salary for this role is £32-34k depending on experience
