You will be part of a team overseeing $1.2B of third party spend through an organizational structure encompassing the global leverage of centre-led categories and regional operating resources
About The Position
The Procurement Specialist will take an active role in the implementation of global procurement strategy, and definition of local procurement strategy using your category management, contract management, risk management, supplier management and stakeholder management skills. Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
Identifying opportunities and running sourcing projects
Sourcing of direct materials to support manufacturing operations
Innovation – Be able to understand the technical requirements of operations and convert into strategic sourcing solutions.
Stakeholder Management
Performance – Drive competitive sourcing events (RFIs & RFPs) and support vendor selection, commercial negotiation, and market awareness.
Procurement – responsible for contract management execution, KPI’s definition, stakeholders support on Procurement policies and processes
Supplier Value Management – Implement Supplier Value Management with the key suppliers to foster innovation, manage supplier performance, establish a Governance Model, and ensure continuous improvement
Indirect Spend – Provide procurement support to indirect and capital sourcing activities and projects
Vendor creation and data maintenance
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to lead cross-functional teams and confidently operate at all levels with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Proven experience in procurement roles
Track record of value delivery through the application of strategic sourcing methodology
Demonstrable understanding of category strategy development and implementation
Strong communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind.
Experience with enterprise systems and procure to-pay tools and eSourcing tools is desired.
