WATER OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

THE ROLE: The Water Operations Assistant will report to the Water Operations Manager and support the Operations Team in ensuring the efficient, cost effective and safe delivery of all operational services for their commercial and public sector (B2B) customers.
JOB TYPE: Permanent, Full time
LOCATION: Pinewood Studios, Iver, Buckinghamshire
(Partial remote working from home is also an option)
DUTIES:
Primary Duties:
-Logistics Support
oScheduling of works
oBooking of appointments with customers, including removing customer perceived roadblocks
oIncoming call handling
oLiaison with engineers & contractors
oJob handling (Raising / Updating / Closing projects with software system)
oGeneral project administration
Secondary Duties:
-Survey support, including
oData entry and data capturing
oGuided survey analysis
oAssessment for missing information
-Client Liaison
oRequesting meter reads
oRequesting information
oTelephone surveys
-Other general tasks
oStock management and tracking
oDesktop Researching
oAdministrative duties
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS:
Essential
– Confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner and good diction.
– Background in Engineering/Facilities Management/Water Treatment/Water Supply.
– Experience in an administrative role / duties
– Speak English to native standard.
– Thrive in a fast-paced working environment while being a team player.
– Experienced in working in a commercial business-to-business environment and have the ability to confidently liaise on the telephone with a variety of professional levels; incl. customers, managers, contractors, suppliers, engineers etc.
– Ability to think on their feet when dealing with issues which could prevent works.
– Good IT Skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office – good Excel skills are required.
– Excellent attention to detail.
– Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task is advantageous.
– Proactive, self-motivated and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Desirable
– Experience in energy or water management industry.
– Experience in telesales /direct sales/account management/customer service (business to business)
– An aptitude for various IT applications is advantageous (previous experience with CRM systems is a plus, although not essential as training will be provided).
KEY CHALLENGES: One of the key challenges of the role is being able to adapt to talking with different contact levels within large organisations to overcome any objections to the proposed plan and the get the works planned. This often requires a good level of empathy with customer's particular situation and their goals in order to remove roadblocks.
TRAINING: The successful candidate must be willing to travel to our offices in Iver Heath, South Buckinghamshire, for any training that may be required both at the beginning of and throughout their employment.
REFERENCES: Candidates will be vetted on the basis of the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, which will include ensuring the right to work, identity check, search for unspent convictions (via DBS Basic Disclosure) and confirmation of the past three years of employment history, including disclosing any significant periods spent abroad during this time.
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday: 08.30 to 17.30 with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
ANNUAL LEAVE: 20 days paid annual leave, plus the 8 UK public holidays.
