Key Duties and Responsibilities
Managing/controlling a team of mobile technicians and on-site maintenance operatives and arranging the maintenance and upkeep of trucks and facilities equipment on project and ensuring procedures and all administration tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner in line with company Health and Safety Policy and Legal Compliance. In addition, responsible for monitoring the defect reporting system and the planning of preventative maintenance inspections in conjunction with the Transport Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee, monitor and schedule the day-to-day running and supervision of a field maintenance team, ensuring they work in a safe and efficient manner
* Prioritise and dispatch technicians when and where required and ensuring costs are kept to a minimum
* Liaise with supervisors on project and ensure that trucks and equipment are in good working order at all times
* Ensure vehicles on project are up-to-date with their legally required safety inspections in conjunction with Operations and the Legal Compliance departments
* Order parts and follow up on any temporary repairs
* Ensure that all Field Technicians tools, vans and stock are maintained in a clean tidy and functional condition with a view to representing the company in a positive light.
* Maintain regular departmental and interdepartmental communication and communicate important information and ensure maximum vehicle utilisation
* Maintain good working relations with all sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Be commercially aware and cost effective.
* Ensure that all necessary reports, documents, schedule and diaries are accurately maintained to a high standard.
You will require strong administration and organisational skills. You should possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word, have a good telephone manner and be able to build and maintain relationships with your team
