We have a fast-paced, exciting role as a Casting Agent that would suit an individual who has experience working as a recruiter in the provision of temporary staff, perhaps in the hospitality or construction sectors. Your knowledge and experience of working with temporary staff and the short notice from demanding clients will lend itself well to transferring those skills to the booking of Supporting Artistes in film and TV industry. Working on blockbuster productions with leading production teams you will provide large numbers of support artists to tight deadlines and exacting briefs.
Uni-versal Extras are a highly successful extras casting agency. We have supplied extras, walk-ons, background and supporting artistes for TV, Film, and Commercials for over 15 years operating out of Pinewood Studios in Uxbridge.
Office hours: Mon to Fri 10:00 – 19:00
Salary: Starting salary (depending on experience) £35,000 – £40,000 (OTE £45,000 – £50,000)
Location: Within easy commuting distance of Pinewood Studios
About the Role:
As Casting Agent, you will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. You will be required to liaise between our clients and cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of Artistes to major production companies that we work with at Uni-versal Extras. As part of this role, you will manage and develop client accounts (productions) to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with the clients, whilst ensuring that customer requirements are delivered. You will also be responsible for leading a team of Casting Co-ordinators dedicated to meeting the operational needs of assigned productions.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of Artistes according to the client’s requirements and production objectives
Casting ‘Looks’ – being responsible for the visual interpretation of the brief and production details, a good eye for face and body is critical to create “look portfolio” for production in accordance with their requirements
Design, develop and deploy all elements of the casting process across artistes, clients and prospects in order to maximise speed to market, deliver revenue and control costs.
Responsible for delivering against monthly targets
Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with Clients
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
Forecast and track key account metrics
Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests;
Monitor and analyse client’s uptake of Uni-versal Extras services
Personal Requirements:
Proven 3 years recruitment experience, casting, account management or other relevant experience
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Excellent time and project management skills with keen adherence to tight deadlines
Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
