BDS Recruitment are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Support Workers to work with a small charity based in High Wycombe.

Our ideal candidate would be someone who has experience either within independent living or within care and who is passionate about supporting our residents.

You will be required as part of your role to support residents to ensure that they are able to live as independently as possible. The adults you will be working with, have mental health issues and/or learning disabilities, so an awareness of safeguarding and experience working with mental health and/or learning disabilities is essential.

As part of your role you will be required to:

* Be available to work shifts Monday – Sunday

* Be comfortable supporting customers with personal care (toileting/washing etc)

* Be able to demonstrate an ability to meet a wide range of service users’ needs including managing behaviors that can challenge, personal care tasks and administration of medication.

* Be good at communicating, both written and verbally

Full UK Driving licence is preferred but not essential

22.5 – 37.5 Hours (Part & Full time positions available)

Must have a Enhanced DBS dated in previous 12 months or Enhanced DBS on the updates service (must be able to provide original certificate)

Pay is £9 p.h PAYE going up to £9.50 p.h after completion of probation period. Extra £1.50 per hour paid on weekends.
