Bring your expertise in providing practical and emotional support, to 3 young people affected by adverse trauma and emotional and behavioural issues as a Residential Support Worker.
You will be working within an experienced, child focussed team to promote the safety and well-being of the children, in a therapeutic care environment. Using a therapeutic and holistic approach, you will work closely with other professionals, families and carers to enable young people to regain their confidence and overall well-being.
You will bring resilience and a positive, outgoing nature to be able to help some of the most disadvantaged and hard to reach children, be their best selves.

As a Residential Support Worker your main duties and responsibilities will be:
As part of a team, you will support children who have emotional, behavioural difficulties due to earlier, damaging, traumatic experiences.
This will involve actively taking part in household chores, mealtimes and activities with the children for their physical and mental well-being.
Being a positive role model, dealing with any challenging behaviour in a firm but fair way.
Provide counsel, encouraging the young people to aspire to brighter futures and attain their goals.
Following care plans and risk assessments according to each child's needs.
Driving the home's car to transport the children to school, appointments and activities.
Liaising with other professionals including Social Workers, Clinicians, Therapists and Educational staff
Writing reports and assessments in a timely manner.
Working long day shifts and sleep ins which will include weekend days and bank holidays on a rota basis
Candidate requirements:
Previous, recent experience of working directly with children and young people who have emotional behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviour.
Able to commit to working long day shifts which include weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis and an average of 2 sleep ins per week
Hold a driving licence.
A Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare is desirable, if not held the organisation will pay for and support you to attain this qualification
