Our supported living service is a situated in Buckinghamshire and is home to 13 individuals.
Our young adults at the service all have additional support needs, and a secondary mental health diagnosis.
This is a busy and challenging service where the individuals we support need staff at the service to act as a mentor, supporting their fluctuating mental health, and behavioural needs.
The service aims to support tenants to enable them to live independent lives.

Hours of work Your hours of work are those required to carry out your duties to the satisfaction of the company as necessitated by the needs of the business, which may include evening and weekends. You will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week and participation in the on-call rota.
We have a current vacancy for a registered manager to manage a supported living service by providing support to adults with learning disabilities and mental needs. If you have experience of working in a management role, experience of working with people with a learning disability and mental health needs and have experience of Care Quality Commission registered services.
Purpose of the job:
To provide robust and effective management and compliance of one of our supported Living services.
To ensure that all statutory and legal obligations, are fulfilled across the business structure to the highest standard, promoting a culture of improvement and best practice at all times.
Be able to engage in meaningful conversation and theory-based interventions in relation to managing mental health needs, and behavioural issues and concerns – as they arise.
To ensure the highest level of care standards are upheld in line with the CQC.
To hold the CQC registration for the supported living serviceSome main duties include:
To maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory guidance. Your key responsibilities will centre on ensuring that the home is run in accordance with company ethos and CQC standards.
To oversee the delivery of high quality, person centred support to all individuals including contribution to development of support plans, risk assessments and review documents.
To support tenants within the service to ensure their physical, social, and emotional needs are met., ensuring that they are treated as an individual with their own unique support needs.
To ensure that the dignity and individuality of each tenant is respected and that they are able to exercise choice in all areas of their life.
To lead and motivate a dedicated staff team, providing support and regular supervisions to enable their development.
To contribute proactively to the development, implementation, maintenance and management of systems, processes, procedures and / or standards within the area of responsibility.
Person Specification
Minimum of 2 years’ experience and a proven track record of successful care and support management of a service for individuals with complex needs in a management role.
The person in this role needs to have experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs
Strong CQC legislation knowledge and experience of working at managerial level within a CQC registered service.
Strong relationship management skills and experience – excellent communication skills to work effectively with senior team members, staff teams, service users, their families, staff, and external professionals.
Have good IT skills and technical competence with the Microsoft Office package (Word / Excel / Outlook).
Be numerate and literate to a high standard.
Have the ability to work unsupervised, be self-motivated and to maintain focus in a challenging / demanding environment.
Have the ability to work with staff at all levels to support the services to deliver quality provision to vulnerable adults
Be flexible in your approaches to work, making appropriate decisions and ensuring that changes to priorities are accommodated
To be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Have a commitment to equal opportunities, an understanding of equality and diversity issues, dignity, and rights
Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support approaches
Have a valid UK driving licence for travelling or be prepared to travel between the organisation’s services
