It can be a bit deflating scrolling through job adverts right now. Not feeling like there’s very much opportunity on the horizon. Unless, of course, you’re an employer who’s a bit of an opportunist.

Then it’s easy pickings.

But we don’t play that game. We think long term. And long term, it’s never going to work if someone knows we took advantage of a bad situation from the very moment their career with us started.

That’s why, when we hire for a strategic Marketer, someone who will add significant value to our business – we do it properly. We see it as a two-way street, where both parties should have plenty to gain.

You’ll have started off working in any type of marketing function elsewhere, but with a natural eye for strategy. So you’ll come in and take the reins of the department here. Developing and growing the function here as you see fit and working closely with our external partner Influence

You don’t need massive amounts of experience, but you should be able to pick up a bit of everything – SEO, PPC, content creation and analytics. You’ll get real autonomy here, but the expectation is that you’ll grow within the role. To guide the rest of the Group on marketing strategy in conjunction with Influence

This is a role which offers real development. So, we’re looking for someone who’s hoping to take the next step. If you’ve been a Marketing Exec, Campaigns Manager or similar – that’s ideal. Over time, the plan is for you to grow you into a fully-fledged Marketing Director. 

You’ll need to be hands on, not afraid to get stuck in. We do have some external agencies that we use – but you’ll need to be skilled at creating things in house too. You’ve got drive, ambition and bundles of enthusiasm. In turn, we’ll help bring your ideas to life and your career will flourish.

There’s a strong emphasis on mental health support and work/life balance here. Plus, we generally hire nice people. A subjective term – but it does mean you’re likely to get on with your colleagues, which is nice. On that note, there are regular team days out
