My client are a successful and growing organisation who offer supported living for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and mental health.
The role;
HR, Recruitment and Training Manager fixed term (minimum 6 months, up to 12 months)
Purpose of the job
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding senior leader who will be accountable for the organisation’s human resources, recruitment and learning and development, including planning and collating of organisational training within a dynamic and growing business.
The role will provide line management to the HR and Recruitment Officer.
The appointed person will lead on development of policy and procedures, development, coordination and collation of surveys, as well as coordination of quarterly newsletters and the development of marketing and promotional literature, including updating of the company website.
We have a series of projects for implementation along with smooth running of the day to day HR, recruitment and training. To develop and implement initiatives together with the senior management team to support the following:
Talent identification and development to enable succession management planning. Development of: compensation and benefit strategy, employee communication strategy, employee engagement and retention strategy, costed training plan related to job descriptions, job evaluation and benchmarking.
You will engage with a spectrum of stakeholders and ensure regulatory requirements are satisfied. The post holder will be responsible for promoting best practice through a culture of continuous improvement and development and will be responsible for coordinating the organisational annual training plan through collation of individual learning and development plans, to ensure adherence to legislative and regulatory requirements. Bringing to the attention of the Head of Care and Supported Housing and Managing Director any areas where improvement could be made and also areas of good practice.
Main duties
To maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory guidance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, implementing required changes to keep company recruitment, HR processes and training compliant.
Your key responsibilities will centre on leading the HR, recruitment and learning and development function. You will act as point of contact for managers regarding HR issues, performance management and recruitment and training topics.
You will direct and supervise the activities of Recruitment and HR officer.
You will ensure that staff are recruited, inducted and trained in accordance with company ethos and CQC standards through development and delivery of high quality internal induction, mandatory training, service specific training identified to meet the needs of individuals, outsourcing high quality, cost effective external training -to ensure the service meets all organisational and statutory requirements and complies with Care Quality Commission Standards and guidelines and our own standards, policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining systems such as the training matrix, which give oversight and assurance that all staff are appropriately trained to fulfil the requirements of their role.
To develop and keep updated the organisational HR, training and development and recruitment policies and procedures and standardised forms and corporate documentation to underpin high quality, person centred support to all individuals.
Explore best practice in the recruitment and placement of employees. To be proactive in sourcing recruitment channels and negotiating best value for recruitment campaigns through the use of job portals, social media and recruitment agencies.
Design training and provide coaching for managers in relation to human resources and recruitment.
Develop the organisation’s social media communication strategy and ensure the organisation’s social media and website is kept up to date.
Participate in job fairs and career events.
To work closely with the Managing Director and Head of Care and Supported Housing to develop organisational structure to support new business development.
To implement any recommendations made following regulatory inspections which relate to HR, recruitment and training
