ABOUT YOU
You may or may not have previous home care experience, which is completely fine. We have learnt that many of the following words describe people who excel and enjoy working as a Care and Companion Assistant:
* Kind
* Reliable
* Friendly
* Compassionate
* Chatty
* Honest
THE CARE ASSISTANT ROLE
Our Care Companions typically spend a minimum of 1 hour with each of our elderly private clients who live in their own homes across the following towns and surrounding areas:
* High Wycombe – Beaconsfield – Loudwater – Chalfonts – Wooburn Green – Stokenchurch – Amersham – Flackwell Heath – Great Missenden – Lane End – Holmer Green
Duties differ from a visit to visit: Whilst some clients require varying levels of Personal Care, many just need a little help getting their meals prepared or keeping on top of basic housework, gardening or going to the shops. One task that will be ever-present is the ability to make a good cup of tea and have a friendly chat.
ARE YOU NEW TO HOME CARE?
As a brand new Home Companion, going into someone’s home to deliver care and support can seem a daunting prospect. To ensure you are fully prepared all staff undertake a thorough Induction program followed by regular ongoing and refresher training.
Your initial home visits as a Care Assistant will always be carried out with a colleague whilst you ‘find your feet’. You will also have management support on every home visit you then make. Never will you be ‘thrown in at the deep end’
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Whilst the competitive pay of £10.80 rising to £16.20 on bank holidays, per hour of care delivered, PLUS: holiday pay, paid mileage, realistic travel time between clients and company pension contributions are all important, what most of our Home Support Assistants say they value is:
* Feeling part of a supportive team
* Having their ideas and concerns listened to
* Developing new skills and building personal confidence
* Doing a job that delivers genuine satisfaction
FLEXIBLE HOURS OF WORK FOR THE CARE ASSISTANT
We are visiting clients 7 days a week from 7am – 10pm and have team members working mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, which allows your job to fit around your home life. We can accommodate full-time and part-time working.

CAREER PROGRESSION WITH RIGHT AT HOME

Where possible, we always look to promote from within, which is supported by the relevant training and coaching to help you move up the career ladder, should you wish.
It should give you confidence that every single member of our office team was initially a first-year caregiver.
