Technical Sales Engineer – Thames Valley

The Company

Well established engineering company operating UK and abroad, specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke material handling solutions for multiple industry sectors.

The Position

An immediate opportunity exists for a driven and self-motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join a team of sales professionals. If you are willing to travel UK wide and have a track record of successful business development then this could be a great opportunity for you.

As a Technical Sales Engineer you will need to have the following applications:

* Mechanical or electrical engineering background, together with project engineering

* Solid business development capabilities, together with aftersales support

* Identify and develop new market sectors

* Selling bespoke mechanical handling solutions to a variety of manufacturing businesses

* Ability to price and produce quotes for complex turnkey projects, and special purpose machinery

The Person

To be successful in this role you will need:

* Good communication skills at all levels both verbal and written

* Good presentation skills, including MS Office applications, PowerPoint

* To engage with customers either on site or at trade exhibitions, and where appropriate demonstrate products to aid achievement of sales targets

* To be self-motivated and results driven, with a desire to succeed.

* To be commercially astute and capable of negotiating contracts, terms and conditions

* Full UK driving licence
