Finance Systems Analyst (Hybrid home & office working)

Circa £33,000 plus excellent benefits

Do you have a strong work ethic with excellent analytical and Excel skills? Come and join our client and contribute to their wider social purpose to provide homes for people. You will work as part of a small team within their Financial Services function to provide Systems support (and general camaraderie) to the wider Finance directorate.
Within this role you will, (with another team member) manage the Finance Service Desk, being the key point of contact for day to day operational queries, including setting user permissions, providing advice on the Purchase Order Processing (POP) system and managing approval hierarchies.
Responsible for setting and adhering to query SLA’s, you should be confident in putting forward alternative suggestions that may provide the (internal) customer with a more effective and efficient service.
In addition to managing the service desk you will assist in data cleansing exercises to improve the accuracy of finance related reports across the business, including the analysis of large volumes of data which will rely upon your advanced Excel skills.
To be successful in this role you must have:

Experience of reviewing processes, improving and implementing new working practices.

Analytical, able to draw inferences from data and convert into meaningful information for non-finance audiences.

Problem solving ability – able to question appropriately in order to accurately diagnose issues and then formulate solutions.
*
Demonstrable aptitude for problem solving, with a solutions-based mindset towards finding resolution to new challenges as well as existing issues.
*
Advanced Excel skills and knowledge.
A Part qualification as an Accountant or studying towards or ATT qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
