Policy & Strategy Lead

The Policy & Strategy Lead will not only be maintaining policies but also researching, writing and drafting new policies to enable regulatory compliance across the business.

You will have a strong social housing knowledge and be able to draw from that operational knowledge and work with others in order to be successful in this role.

A proactive approach, being aware of upcoming sector changes and relating that back to the business, then taking on the mantle to ensure that policies and processes are updated.

Process mapping will be key here as well as strong project management skills.

* Researching and drafting policies and processes, ensuring that across the business we have all the policies, processes and guidance in place that empower and enable our teams to do their job. You will work with our Heads of Service to ensure our policies and processes meet the needs of the business

* Effectively project managing the maintenance of this through regular reviews and working with the Governance team to ensure regulatory compliance as well as effective version control

* Ensuring that in the development of policies and policy reviews that we are carrying out Equality Impact Assessments – facilitating these where needed

* Supporting staff to ensure they are confident in the application of our policies and processes and general way of working and that they can easily access and use the framework and the tools within it. You will do this through concise policy briefing as well as making sure that content is reflected in our corporate training plans

* Keeping up to date with regulatory and legislative changes that will impact on our policies to ensure they remain compliant with any changes or updates

* Producing high quality documents relevant for a variety of audiences and clear and accurate information
