Home Ownership Manager (3-month FTC)

Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a Buckinghamshire based housing organisation, with their recruitment of a Home Ownership Manager.

As Home Ownership Manager you’ll lead on all matters relating to home ownership, including statutory consultation with leaseholders, shared ownership portfolio management, freeholder estate queries and Right to Buy.

* Lead, manage and inspire our team of Home Ownership Advisors who provide services to leaseholders, freeholders and shared owners

• Specialising in the area of home ownership; ensuring that we comply fully with our statutory and contractual obligations to homeowners.

• Develop our systems, processes and services so that we can manage all aspects of our new shared ownership portfolio

• Work alongside the Commercial Manager to ensure that annual service charge invoices and statements are compliant with leases

• Deliver the three essential arts of management: great people management, brilliant task management and excellent performance management

• Innovate, encourage and nurture creativity, challenging the status quo of traditional methods to deliver better outcomes for our customers

* Leading all routine leasehold and service charge cases in the County Count and the First Tier Tribunal, including the preparation of witness statements, legal documentation and advocacy at hearings.

* Instructing solicitors in complex cases where necessary and managing the cases through to satisfactory completion

* Ensuring an efficient handover of home owner new build schemes working with the Commercial Manager on the procurement of services and the timely setting of service charges

* Ensuring that the team manages shared ownership sales through to completion once the sale has been agreed

* Making sure that we comply with our statutory obligation to consult leaseholders under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 (as amended), maintaining auditable records to demonstrate compliance

* Liaising with colleagues on maintenance issues to ensure that statutory consultation is undertaken by your team in advance

* Keeping an accurate database of all leasehold, commercial and non-residential assets

* Working with our IT team to deliver a portal for customers to self-serve

* Making sure your team maximise the occupancy of our commercial property portfolio through innovative approaches to marketing and effective portfolio management

* The delivery of a compliant Right to Buy/Acquire process by your team

* Monitoring your team to ensure that they are granting easements, licences and wayleaves across our land in line with our policies and Governance Regulations
