Working as part of the HR Team as the Recruitment advisor, you'll attract candidates by first understanding the specifications of the role requirements from the Hiring Managers, support the drafting and advertising of the roles through a range of search provisions including direct advertising, social media, networking, headhunting and through referrals. You'll support the screening and interviewing of candidates, run background checks if required and finally secure and place the right individual in-to the role. You will also provide advice to both Hiring Managers and candidates on salary levels, training requirements and career opportunities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:
Develop and gain a good understanding of the role requirements and specification from the Hiring Managers. Support, advise and guide managers on all aspects of resourcing (including advertising, shortlisting, arranging interviews, participating in interviewing, making offers and onboarding) for both permanent and temporary employees and to ensure that all recruitment matters are handled effectively and efficiently.
Research innovative ways of attracting the best talent for each vacancy by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media platforms, such as newspapers, websites and magazines to include using Higher Education specific attraction channels.
Use a wide range of different social media platforms to advertise positions, attract candidates and build a pipeline of talent. Write creative and compelling job adverts.
If required use headhunting to identifying and approach suitable candidates who may already be in work
Receive and review applications and CV's, support and manage interviews and any required tests, presentations etc and create a shortlist of candidates with the Hiring Manager and the HRA.
Brief candidates about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job
Organising interviews for candidates as requested by the Hiring Manager and or HRA
Inform candidates about the results of interviews
If required, negotiate pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between both parties
Offer advice to both Hiring Managers and candidates on pay rates, training and career progression
Review recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programmes.
Manage and review our existing preferred supplier list to ensure we are cost effective in the ways we attract talent.
Create objective and behavioural based candidate selection and scoring templates
Create a recruitment pipeline / candidate tracking metrics and KPI's reports

Build a talent base for various key job roles.
Provide recruitment training on best practises to Line Managers
Ensure the business has a sufficient quantity and quality recruitment pipeline to meets its targets.Education, Qualifications & Training:
You will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
It is desirable you are currently studying towards the CIPD or qualified (CPP) but this isn't essentialKnowledge & Experience
Experience of work in an HR environment
Experience of working with an electronic HR /Recruitment system
Familiarity with office procedures and systems
Excellent Written & Verbal Communication skills
MS Office, Word and Excel
Good level of numeracy e.g. able to calculate percentage
