We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well established Builders Merchant based in the High Wycombe area, they are looking for a Trade Counter sales person on a full time permanent basis. The hours for this positions are Monday – Friday 6.30am- 4.30pm and Saturdays 6.30am – 10.30am (there will be occasions where Saturdays are unnecessary. The salary will be between £22,000 – £24,000 pa dependant on experience.

The successful candidate will have,

– Experience in a similar position for a competitor

– Strong communication skills over the phone and face to face

– Sales and customer service experience

– Product knowledge within the construction industry

– Computer Literate

– Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal

A counterbalance forklift license is essential

Responsibilities

– Serving customers and building strong relationships with them in order to generate sales

– Providing customers with quotations and advice

– Using your initiative to generate sales through customer contacts

– Liaising with drivers and the warehouse regarding deliveries to ensure all is running smoothly

– Using the system to locate products and create a quotation

-Effectively working in a team and solely when the need arises
