Highways Health and Safety Officer 38K

A major international highways operations and maintenance infrastructure contractor have a key requirement for a Health and Safety Officer with flexible working hours to join their team. You will be advising and overseeing all health and safety standards are being adhered to throughout the company. Ideally based within easy access to the M40

As the Health and Safety Officer you will oversee all company H&S activity and advise on H&S matters in accordance within company policy
As the Health and Safety Officer you will carry out regular site safety audits, risk assessments, finding any issues and implementing necessary corrective actions.
As the Health and Safety Officer you will carry out accident investigations ensuring remedial actions are put in place
As the Health and Safety Officer you will monitor and review current company policies as well as implementing new company safety procedures
As the Health and Safety Officer you will make sure all plant equipment's records are in date
As the Health and Safety Officer you will deliver H&S meetings as well as inductions for new employees and contractors
As the Health and Safety Officer you will ensure contractor safety statement and required method statements are available and assessed
As the Health and Safety Officer you will notify the H&S authorities of any accidents and provide incident reports
As the Health and Safety Officer you will maintain and administer the companies health and safety manuals and all other relevant documents
As the Health and Safety Officer, following incidents and for scheduled PPM's you will be out on the highways sometimes out of hours

As the Health and Safety Officer you must have NEBOSH
As the Health and Safety Officer you must have experience in the Highways sector
As the Health and Safety Officer you must have a valid UK driving license
As the Health and Safety Officer you will be supplied a company car and package including a salary of £32-38K along with other company benefits
