Supported Living Service Manager, Tottenham & High Wycombe
£30k annum
Our client provides residential and supported living services enabling every individual they help to lead a richer life. Personalised care is at the heart of their service for people with complex and varied needs that include learning disabilities, autism and mental health
This role will entail an experienced and registered living support manager looking to step up to managing multiple sites; working closely with senior management, staff and tenants.
This role requires you to be available on-call for service on a 24-hour basis to deal with any emergencies.
An effective and organised communicator with strong leadership qualities able to chair meetings and build relationships with all stakeholders (Internal & External)
The responsibilities of the role include:
To maintain the required level of revenue (occupancy and fee levels) by promotion of the home and maintaining good relationships with service purchasers and other stake holders.
To ensure appropriate correspondence and contact with registration authorities and all other outside agencies.
Provide necessary information, instruction, supervision and guidance to all staff in respect of implementing company policies and procedure
The recruitment, induction, supervision, support and development of staff and ensuring their well-being by observing the Health and Safety at Work Act and all other relevant health & safety legislative requirements.
To be the lead assessor for potential tenants prior to admission, gauging suitability bearing in mind resources available within the service.
To ensure tenants’ support plans and risk assessments are regularly reviewed.
To ensure tenants receive the Statement of Purpose and Tenant Guide and explain contents with them and their representative/s.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
The Registered Supported Living Manager must be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and ensure certificates and licenses are obtained and displayed
3 years’ experience of staff appraisal, staff supervision, team management.
3 years’ experience in the supported living, mental health and/or learning disability field
Substantial experience of controlling a service budget and record keeping and report writing.
