Residential Care Deputy Manager Job Description:

An experienced and dedicated individual is required to help run a friendly and comfortable Residential Care Home within the High Wycombe area as their new Deputy Home Manager. The home is a safe and homely, 30 bedded service which caters for elderly and dementia clients and they are a part of an independent, family-run care company. All residents are treated as individuals, taking into consideration their privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times as well as their own personal interests and preferences. The care home is located in a scenic and tranquil setting within an extremely rewarding environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position paying a fantastic £(phone number removed) per annum plus an annual bonus scheme. Previous Deputy Manager experience is preferred however this could be the ideal role for an experienced Care Manager or Head of Care looking to take a further step up into managerial roles. You will be required to draw up and implement care plans, carry out audits, plan and implement staff rotas and carry out other administrative duties as well as work 'on the floor' as part of the care team when required.

As a Deputy Home Manager, you will work with the Registered Manager and Care team to effectively improve the quality of care and ensure that the home is running smoothly at all times. Reporting to the Registered Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of care are delivered to meet the needs of the individual resident and to monitor and maintain these standards in line with contractual and legislative requirements. As the new Deputy Home Manager you must be well organised, reliable, be able to pay attention to detail, keep calm in a crisis and share the company values of delivering the highest standard of care to the clients at all times.

Care Home Deputy Manager Skills/ Experience:

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care minimum

Medication trained

Experience of working within a Care Home environment

Proficient with: Care plans, Risk assessments, Supervisions, Liaising with families and other healthcare professionals

Familiarity with DoLS, MCAs, audits and assessments would be advantageous

Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal and time-management skills

Residential Deputy Manager duties will include:

Draw up and implement care plans

Carry out audits

Shift leading and ensuring a high quality of care provision is maintained

Completing staff rotas

Deputising in the absence of the Registered Home Manager
