An opportunity has become available for an experienced and empathetic Registered Mental health Nurse at a specialised hospital in High Wycombe.

The successful applicant will be working with men and woman from the age of 18 who an eating disorder including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and atypical eating disorder You will work closely with a skilled team of psychiatrists, therapists, nursing and dietetic staff ensuring the appropriate support and treatment is given to each patient to re-establish eating patterns, develop coping skills to manage symptoms of the disorder, restore physical health and develop a positive outlook for the future.

The client is offering flexible shift patterns throughout the week and also 3 Month Fixed Term Agreement with an option to extend for another 3 months should both the site and the Nurse be in agreement.

Your new role

The ability to observe, assess and respond appropriately to patient needs
Prepare and maintain patient records
Implement evidence-based care plans and risk assessments
Ensure the correct administration and monitoring of medication
Comply with your professional code of conduct at all times
The ability to build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
To keep calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging or confrontational behaviour;
Good organisation and problem-solving skills
Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively
Effective team work skills
What you'll need to succeed

Minimum 6 months recent experience in a similar setting
NMC registration
Occupational Health in line with the dept. of health
Eligibility to work within the UK
