Orion Group Sciences are looking for a Market Research Specialist for our Multinational Pharmaceutical Client based in the Buckinghamshire area on an initial 3-month contract with the potential to extend.
The Market Research Hub Specialist works with regional and local stakeholders to understand customer behavior and preferences, derived from best in class market research (especially performance tracking), to inform business decisions across the EMEA region.
Working in close collaboration with the other members of the Business Intelligence teams – both regional and local (Business Insights Manager, Therapeutic area-based Market Research Managers, CI Manager) – and external partners, the Market Research Hub Specialist delivers an added value service to the internal customer.
The Market Research Hub Specialist coordinates and executes the Market Research tracking activities for both local and regional partners, oversees the service provided by contracted market researchers, and continuously strives to innovate the way we approach Market Research performance tracking at Company. He/she will be part of a centralized Market Research service unit that is responsible for coordinating and executing on all annually planned Market Research tracking activities for the region.
MAIN ACTIVITIES/TASKS:
Team Member and Networker:
Plays a leadership role in delivering pan-EMEA tracking & measurement MR activities
Is an active member of the EMEA MR Team and the EMEA MR Expert group
Partners with the Business Intelligence Managers/Market Research Managers to adequately understand the needs behind any tracking MR activity and the key business question to be answered
Networks closely with regional and local BI colleagues to guide the development of robust and efficient MR tracking plans that 100% match cross-regional and local needs
Educates and coach BI and marketing colleagues on appropriate tracking & measurement strategies to address the brand key strategic questions. Functional Expert
Is expert in MR measurement & tracking activities and introduces relevant methods based on technical knowledge and skills.
Pro-actively translates business needs into relevant market research objectives.
Recommends, and implements the most appropriate primary research tracking methodologies to meet objectives, with best balance of accuracy, time, and cost.
Oversees execution of primary research. Is compliant, and ensures suppliers also comply, in relation to all relevant codes of practice, guidelines and SOP.
Identifies and leverages most robust secondary/ syndicated research sources that address knowledge gaps and avoid duplication
Assesses, selects and manages MR suppliers towards high quality data, conclusions and recommendations. Monitors budget and commissioning process with vendors.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
A minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in primary Market Research within the pharmaceutical industry and/or agency side.
Experienced in leading international and/or local tracking programs within pharma
A background and understanding of science and marketing.
Ability to coordinate and coach multiple stakeholders for the delivery of projects.
Ability to build productive, sustained relationships with contractors and colleagues in EMEA, and operating company teams.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Service mindset
Excellent written and spoken English.
Awareness of and adherence to SOPs, guidelines and policies.
