Bluerock Jobs is recruiting on before of a high-end producer of bespoke furniture providing extensive in-house manufacturing services, specialising in high quality upholstery and luxury furniture for high end clients within a variety of sectors.

The Role

Planning

– Manage the production planning of the factory.

– Generate data on production capacity, rework, KPIs etc.

– Work closely with the Factory Floor Manager to ensure production is on track.

– Work with sales admin to ensure correct bill of materials is in line with client expectation.

– Produce and present production calendar for Monday production meetings.

– Print and go through work instructions and line drawings together with Factory Floor Manager and Team Leaders.

– Follow up and monitor all orders in production.

– Identify core issues in manufacturing procedures and come up with possible solutions.

– Report directly to management about status of production including weekly capacity.

– Work collaboratively across teams to resolve any issues on a daily basis and plan new production workloads to ensure efficient and effective support.

– Help ensure a lean bespoke manufacturing procedure.

– Create stock control and manage accordingly.

Buyer

– Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate best deals.

– Manage Junior Buyer.

– Create and maintain a system for sundry ordering.

– Source best value for bespoke ordering.

– Help set and uphold factory budget together with Manager and Accounts for Board approval.

– Manage stock system for sundry items, tools etc.

– Help build BOMs for standard collection designs.

Essential skills and experience:

– Joinery and Upholstery Furniture Production & Manufacturing experience.

– IT literate with sound experience using Microsoft Office.

– Good people management skills.

– Thorough understanding of production principles and systems.

– Strong organisational skills.

– Excellent clear communicator, with a high level of numeracy and literacy in English.

– Excellent time keeping and ability to meet deadlines.

– Ability to work under pressure both individually and as part of a team.

– Organised and professional, capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on accuracy.

– An incredible attention to detail and a good understanding of technical/production drawings
