Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

Salary:£30K-£35k

MCG Construction has a new opportunity for a qualified Manufacturing Supervisor for a major contract in High Wycombe.

The Role:

Job requires a good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts & principles upon which the job is based.

The knowledge can be acquired through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. The skills and knowledge level can be equivalent to a specialised level within a skilled trade, but are generally non-theoretical skills.

Day to day manage and motivate Production teams to ensure all allocated tasks/projects are completed within timeframe and budget.

Ensuring all short to mid-term production demand is achieved in-line with Sales Order commitments.

Ensure Production teams conduct all tasks professionally and operate within recognised Health and Safety guidelines.

Uphold and maintain ELW ISO quality standards, procedures which affect Production.

Seek and implement continuous improvement techniques/initiatives within Production areas.

Implement and maintain an effective 5S policy within the area of responsibility.

Business Expertise – Good understanding of how the team integrates with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.

Leadership – Full supervisory responsibilities, contributing to the motivation/development of team through professional leadership.

The Person:

Proven experience managing and leading a team of people in a Manufacturing based environment.

Proven experience motivating a team of people to drive productivity and efficiency.

A technical approach to problem solving.

Previous experience in product handover from R&D into live Production.

Ability to manage difficult conversations and scenarios.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Strong team building, motivation management skill set.

Strong Numeracy, Literacy skills.

Strong IT skills in all Google or equivalent packages, Docs, Sheets, Slides etc.

Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes, product knowledge and quality control principles.

Self motivating, conscientious and organised approach to support production personnel.

Flexible approach to problem solving, ability to prioritise multiple tasks
