NTERIM Senior Brand Manager role – FMCG

Location: High Wycombe area, Buckinghamshire area

£400 – £500 per day plus expenses

Reporting to: Head of Marketing 

Responsible for: a multi-million marketing budget

ROLE PURPOSE:

To develop and deliver the plan for the next big thing for the instantly recognisable food and drink brand.

You will play a key role in driving growth on a” big brand” that is at the forefront of category growth.

You will be a results driven, entrepreneurial marketer with a passion for FMCG to join a high performing team and take the lead on a portfolio of sub brands

As the SBM will have the full remit of responsibility – from brand planning, creative and media planning, idea generation, management of key projects, research briefing, and design, to product quality and commercial P&L management.

Key Accountabilities:    

Marketing Strategies     

-Building the long-term brand plans & short to medium term brand plans.

-Managing the portfolio to deliver the Marketing strategy

-Responsible for developing Marketing communications model

-Understands Retailer specific strategies, is able to support from a marketing perspective.

-Understanding of Consumer Insights and when need to test or research, products, communications, claims, and process by which you would test these areas

-Experienced in translating understanding of brands and consumers into different media channels that are available & the value they have.

-Proven experience in management of marketing agencies

-Financial expertise in managing a budget, is able to forecast and manage day to day financial activity.

Innovation – you will identify opportunities for the brand to launch into new areas, to improve products, processes and/or packaging. Executing NPD launches from managing insight to the development of concept, cost, look, developing launch plan and selling into retailers, works with category team to ascertain how these fits into retailer strategies and develops comms around this.

Understanding of production, capability and impact of capability on any innovation.

Able to sell into retailers a specific idea, concept and annual brand plans

knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience at selection

Uses analytical skills to generate strong consumer driven strategies that deliver focussed, growth driving business outcomes
Clearly identifies key consumer issues and drives for penetrative consumer understanding and insights that are applied to drive brand growth
Motivating Agencies and Cross Functional Teams

Clearly understands what drives & motivates agency and internal teams and constantly strives to build great strong, productive relationships
▪Manages the brand portfolio via a P&L and be highly effective at redirecting funds/effort accordingly to deliver best results.

▪Understands the business performance and key drivers, such that they can steer the brand to best satisfy the opportunities as they arise.

Strong academic background 

A Proven Brand Manager, Senior Brand Manager or Marketing Manager

Work experience to date –brand marketing experience, including a UK FMCG food environment

Exposure to consumer and shopping marketing including a mix of activities such as NPD development and launch
