This is a full time, remote working, fixed term contract until end June 2022.
Our client is seeking a CRF Programme Manager. Your responsibilities will be delivering their Community Renewal funded programme, providing a wide range of support to businesses in Buckinghamshire (ranging from 1:1 business support/advice, training opportunities, small grant schemes, carbon benchmarking and stakeholder management co-ordination).
Team members are working remotely (usually from home) and are supported by technology/tools. You will, however, be required to attend ad hoc meetings in person, usually within Buckinghamshire. Mileage expenses incurred within Buckinghamshire will be reimbursed and, if using your own vehicle to attend meetings, may need “business cover” on your insurance (you will be asked to provide evidence that you have this cover in place should this be a requirement).
Responsibilities:
* Delivery/management of the Community Renewal funded programme, ensuring the project is robustly managed/kept on target and in line with audit requirements
* Supporting the set-up of project processes and the recruitment of new staff
* The line management of project staff
* Managing/overseeing the diverse aspects of the project, ensuring each participating beneficiary is provided a range of opportunities to support their future needs
* Providing close monitoring/reporting of all project activity to the Head of Skills and Business Support/senior management team
* Liaising with external organisations/internal departments as required to present relevant project activity and budget information using specified reporting formats
* Ensuring claims for funding are correct/completed in a timely fashion with the required supporting documentation
* Working closely with external stakeholders/other organisations to promote/add value to the project
* Having a full understanding of the funding guidelines and providing assistance to others on the subject when required
* Establishing strong relationships and engaging successfully with external partners/colleagues
* Working with other Programme Managers and teams within the company, ensuring a high standard of business support provision
* Ensuring the CRM is kept permanently up to date with all business relevant information and reporting
* Promoting/providing presentations at events/workshops
* Undertaking other tasks required from time to time
Essential skills and experience:
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
* Experience/understanding of delivering publicly funded contracts
* Proven contract and project management knowledge and experience
* Excellent man management skills
* Demonstrable knowledge/understanding of the barriers to growth, particularly for businesses in the hospitality/tourism/leisure sector
* Experience/expertise in managing budgets
* Authority/credibility to build strong relationships and engaging successfully with external partners and colleagues
* Excellent numeracy and written English skills
* Experienced user, with a proven ability of using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams)
* Experience in providing business advice/support and working in tourism/hospitality/leisure, with a good knowledge of the County of Buckinghamshire (desirable)
