IT Support Technician, High Wycombe, £23,000 – £28,000pa plus benefits:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated IT Technician to join a well-respected school in High Wycombe to provide 1st and 2nd line support, along with offering the opportunity to gain exposure to 3rd line and project related challenges. Due to the demands of the school, they are looking to add to their IT team which already consists of a Senior IT Engineer and IT Manager. You will be supporting around 500 users face to face, over the phone and via email. You will provide support for a mixture of Windows desktops, Google Chromebooks, IT networks, Firewalls and Servers and the School's MIS system.

This is an exciting time to join the school as they look to further develop their IT Systems. You will be able to gain exposure to new technologies and gain experience working in a role that is both demanding and flexible. The role is unique and highly desirable in terms of being very hands on.

Having strong hands-on 1st and/or 2nd Line IT Support experience is essential for this role. If you have previous experience of working in an educational environment, that would be a plus.

Day to Day Duties:

Excellent communication skills when dealing with and providing feedback to internal customers queries
Prioritising helpdesk call queries and resolving in the appropriate timeframes
Continuous improvement of IT support policies, procedures and processes.
Update all documentation with the latest available information.
Ability to develop a good understanding of key technologies in use
Ability to use and deploy logical fault-finding techniques.
Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a Team.
Monitor IT services to make sure that the IT systems are available at all timesEssential Skills:

1+ Years of experience of 1st/2nd line support
Windows Desktop OS 7 and 10
Windows Server OS 2016
Microsoft Office 365
Active Directory, Group Policy management.
