Trainee Technician
Location – Hughenden Valley, High Wycombe, HP14 4ND
Permanent opportunity- immediate start
Starting salary £18,000 per annum rising to £21,000 after training period + benefits
Our client, a successful industrial fire testing business is urgently sourcing a Trainee Technician to join their team in Hughenden Valley. No previous experience is necessary as training will be given, however candidates with a practical skill set and technical aptitude would be best suited to the role.
Own transport is required to due location.
Ideal candidate will have following skills:
Practical skills for setting up testing procedures and using tools
Experience or knowledge of working to Health & Safety Guidelines
Enjoy working in a busy team focused environment
Good communication skills
Self-starter, logical and methodical
Good attention to detail
Able to work both indoors and outdoors at client facilityDuties
Assisting in the building of rigs ready for testing of customer products including- Doorsets, Windows / Glazing, Partitions and fire stopping products
Working within a team, assisting and preparing building products for fire testing
Clearing up of the work area and complying to environmental legislation for disposal of waste
Ensure work is completed in a timely fashion
Liaising with clients, contractors and third parties on installations, test set ups. This could include discussions regarding the correct materials to be used, working from a client's technical drawings and detailed explanation of test results
Achieving and maintaining high standards of health and safety for all
