Our ideal candidate has a recognised degree level of qualification or equivalent preferably in a Built Environment related discipline along with a working knowledge of quality control and technical process to ensure compliance with the latest and current legislation and quality standards, Health & Safety legislation, Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
This is a pivotal role within the organisation to help us move forward with our ambitious build programme whilst supporting the delivery team to ensure all our new homes meet our stringent design and quality standards and our construction sites and new homes are safe and complaint.
There are five key positions within the Design & Quality Team and the Technical Quality Surveyor is one of two roles reporting to the D&Q Manager (Post-Contract). There is plenty of scope for collaboration as the Development directorate is made up of around 40 people in various professional disciplines.
About you
We are looking for someone with good working knowledge of the quality control and technical process and a passion for excellent service who has experience in the Built Environment. Working via a mixture of hybrid working from home, on site and at our office in High Wycombe.
Our ideal candidate will have:
on-site experience and knowledge of the latest legislation and quality standards, Health & Safety legislation, Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
a proven track record and experience in social residential housing, understand the NHBC (National Housing Building Confederation) and other warranty provider’s function and requirements.
the ability to work through complex issues and inspect works on site against construction drawings, design guides, specifications, legislation standards and regulations etc
