Stantec are seeking a Senior Electrical and ICA (EICA) Design Engineer to join our Water Business in either our High Wycombe office or Reading office. You will grow our reputation within the local community and Water Business, by providing EICA design services for a range of projects.

The team currently provide technical design services and expertise as part of integrated project teams.

The successful candidate will be involved in the whole project life cycle from Front-End Engineering Design through to detailed design and installation. You will also be involved with feasibility studies, site surveys and investigations. There are opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects including in water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure and environmental sectors.

As an experienced EICA Engineer, you will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. You will understand how water treatment processes operate and be experienced in assessing the existing electrical and ICA infrastructure to develop and deliver the EICA design.

About You

The successful candidate will be an EICA engineer who is Chartered or Incorporated with the IET with several years’ experience and background of EICA design, ideally within the water industry.

You will be experienced in writing technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, reports and familiar with collaborative reviews and designs of solutions.

You will be able to produce Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams as well as providing engineering input to collaborative design outputs, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication skills to give technical presentations to clients and other design engineers as well inputting into collaborative design discussions including technical workshops, HAZOPs and ALMs.
