Public Health Engineer

Buckinghamshire

Full time Permanent

Negotiable depending on experience

Our client is an established firm of Building Services consulting engineers delivering more than 3,500 successful projects for Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health and Environmental engineering solutions in four decades now.

They're currently looking to hire someone who is organised, self-motivated, personable and professional engineers to work with them and be part of their huge team.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of a team

*

Public Health design including but not limited to sanitary plumbing systems, hot and cold domestic water design, below ground drainage systems, surface water drainage systems, septic tank installations, basement membrane drainage systems, pumped drainage installations

*

Preparation and development of concept, feasibility and detailed design proposals, which include specifications, drawings, calculations

*

Fully proficient in AutoCAD 2D with either some knowledge of the use of Revit or the desire to learn

*

MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel

*

Good communication skills required and be able to attend meetings with clients, other professional design team members and contractors

*

Good communication skills required and be able to accompany colleagues to meetings with clients, other professional design team members and contractors

*

Strong technical expertise within mechanical building services design, gained working within the UK building services industry for either a consultancy or contractor

*

Knowledge of UK design legislation and guidance

Qualifications/Experience required:

*

Minimum 5 years’ Public Health services design experience (less if a Junior Engineer)

*

Must have full UK drivers’ licence

Able to handle several ongoing projects at various stages
