Our client, in High Wycombe, a long standing and successful manufacturing business, seek to appoint a Production/Manufacturing Engineer to their manufacturing team.
My client is a major supplier to the Oil & Gas industry and has exciting prospects for the future.
You will have knowledge of continuous improvement / lean and be able to identify opportunities to cut waste or improve processes and a technical background.
CNC Offline Programmer – Mill/Turn Machinery.
Experiences and skills required.
·Ideally apprenticed trained and from a time served engineering background.
·At least 5 years CNC Offline Programming experience is essential.
·Strong experience setting and operating machines.
·Experience with Gibbscam software is desirable, but similar CAD/CAM packages would be considered and software training provided
.Programming Hurco and Okuma machinery
·Strong Computer skills
·Able to interpret and work to engineering drawings and 3D models
·Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Datum system
·Ability to work in a fast-paced sub-contract environment.
.Knowledge of Lights out machining and a vision to improve machining efficiency.
.Robot automation experience including palletisation and loading.
Role
·Create efficient mill/turn programmes using Gibbscam/CAD/CAM package.
·Occasional setting and operate milling machines with Okuma/Hurco online controls.
·Produce tooling and setting sheets, as well as planning and designing necessary fixtures
·Communicate effectively and aid when necessary the setting up process.
·Prove out new jobs.
·Review new sub contract enquiries to produce accurate cycle times and tooling requirements for the sales team.
·Permanent position available.
-Dayshift Role.
