Mechanical Design Engineer – High Precision Mechanisms job available in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

* £40,000 – £50,000 per annum + private healthcare + pension + 25days annual leave

* High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (commutable from areas of Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey and London)

* Permanent, Full-Time

A leading research and development organisation who design and manufacture complex scientific instrumentation which are used for medical and scientific industries are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for their team just outside of High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer – High Precision Mechanisms, in this R&D team you will work on 3D CAD designs using SolidWorks, developing new high-precision electronic instrumentation, involving moving parts. You will work on the full product life cycle from concept through to manufacture.

Skills / Requirements for this Mechanical Design Engineer vacancy:

* Full product life-cycle design experience from concept through to production / manufacture.

* Experience in developing high-precision electro-mechanical instrumentation (i.e., moving parts, robotic technology, XY gears).

* A background in 3D mechanical design using SolidWorks or a similar CAD package.

* Exposure to design analysis (FEA / DMFEA / etc.).

* Exposure to vacuum, pneumatics, or high precision designs would be beneficial but not essential
