Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Engineering to join a leading provider of Water Treatment technologies and solutions in the UK. Working as the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities across the engineering team, delivering key projects and services across laboratory water treatment equipment and solutions.
The Role:
Working as the Head of Engineering you will be responsible for:
Managing all daily operations across the engineering and industrialisation team across the laboratory and scientific water treatment equipment services.
Managing the engineering department's staffing, resources and mentoring, and maintaining a very high standard across the engineering department.
Provide technical guidance and direction in the project management of all development activities.
Lead the engineering teams in the planning, management and execution of any new products, supporting with design as well as product maintenance for the company product portfolio. Working directly with product managers and manufacturing teams.
Support with scope management, issues raised and risk management across the projects, providing regular status reporting.
Report the status of project developments, department performance, quality, and systems performance to the director of engineering and industrialisation.
Work with cross-functional teams across the business including; quality, operations, technical, research and development, product management, and key account managers.
Work as the senior technical representative for front of end-users and clients, to build trust and confidence in the products.
All other duties as required.This role will require travel across the UK and may include occassional international travel. Please only apply if this is suitable.
The Candidate
To be considered for this position candidates are expected to have a strong background successfully leading teams in a Senior Management capacity, working across a product-driven environment with complex engineering teams.
Candidates should have strong mechanical engineering understanding with and should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering subject ideally with a level 6 or equivalent in management.
A background understanding of technical product requirements would be beneficial as well as experience working to regulatory standards.
