Principal electronics design engineer | High Wycombe/Remote | Up to £100K
I am currently recruiting for a principal electronics engineer to work for a leading broadcast client of mine. The company itself is based in Marlow but are a highly flexible company that can offer on-site, hybrid and fully remote working environments.
The team itself is a friendly and social group who are highly motivated and pro-actively collaborate to achieve the common goal. Individually you will be brought on to add value to the electronics function and will need to have experience across electronics design, fpga and embedded systems.
As a principal engineer the company will require you to take technical leadership of projects. There is also the potential to take on team leadership responsibilities with a career path in place to take over the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
Producing high quality designs for new products.
FPGA design covering the full development lifecycle.
Debugging new designs.
Complete product lifecycle support.
Project leadership.
Required Skills/Experience:
Ability to design circuits containing FPGA's and embedded processors.
A good understanding of how Software interacts with and controls Hardware.
10+ years design experience.
Excellent digital circuit design fundamentals.
High speed signal design experience.
Comfortable working solo, as part of a team or leading a team.
Ensuring designs can be manufactured in a cost-effective manner.
Degree or equivalent level in relevant discipline.
Designing products to pass EMC and safety certification.
Advantageous Skills:
VHDL coding for FPGA's
Schematic entry.
Embedded C/C++ programming.
New component evaluation and selection.
Board level circuit design.
Networking protocol experience.
Used to working to deadlines and able to juggle multiple projects.
Knowledge of the Video & Audio SDI and IP standards.
Experience with Altium Schematic Entry and associated tools.
