The role:

Receive deaf children into the school at the beginning of the day and escort them from the school at the end of the day
Ensure consistency of approach and foster good communications between Communicators and other members of staff
Assist the Teacher of the Deaf in ensuring consistency of signed vocabulary and fostering the education and welfare of the children
Assist the Teacher of the Deaf in the delivery and monitoring of support arrangements for deaf pupils
The ideal candidate:

Level 4 (or above) sign language
Experience working with children
Attentive and charismatic approach
