Primary SEMH Teacher required!
TLTP are currently recruiting for a Primary Teacher to join a "Good" specialist school in High Wycombe for children with SEMH difficulties.
This is a special school for primary aged children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Some of the children’s needs include Autism, ODD, ADHD and Sensory Processing difficulties. They believe they have developed a unique approach to supporting children who exhibit challenging behaviour.
At this school. their children are given the freedom to explore their emotions and existing social behaviours so that these can be unlearnt and adapted by modelling, coaching or teaching alternative and more appropriate behaviours.
They believe children can learn to self-regulate and become less reliant on the external control found in traditional systems of sanction and reward.
• They have a passionate conviction that all children can achieve no matter what they have experienced or done previously
• They start with the child and develop learning opportunities that fit around them rather than expecting them to fit within a rigid and narrow model of learning
• They are creative and look for new and different ways to engage children with learning so that they are able to progress
• They have high expectations of every child and accept no restriction on what is possible for all children in our care
Due to an increase in pupil numbers, this school is looking for a like-minded, professional and committed class teacher who is ambitious and keen to gain further experience in the field of SEN and progress in their teaching career.
They welcome colleagues who are newly qualified, from mainstream settings, or those already working within the field of SEN (any designation) and offer an on-going high quality package of support through induction and internal and external specialist CPD.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
